World Championship medallist Jorinde van Klinken chooses M line
With the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham this August just around the corner, Jorinde van Klinken has joined M line as an ambassador. The top Dutch athlete, who competes in both the discus throw and the shot put, has chosen the sleep brand that helps her start every training and competition day fully prepared.
Van Klinken has been among the world’s best for many years. In 2025, she made history by becoming the first Dutch woman to win a World Championship medal in the discus throw, and on Sunday 26 July she was crowned Dutch discus throw champion for the sixth time. At the European Championships in Birmingham, she is once again among the favourites in both the shot put and the discus throw.
For Van Klinken, top performances are all about the details. “Many people think that throwing and shot put are mainly about strength, but the difference actually lies in the details: technique, timing and constantly refining your form until everything is just right. I look for that same precision off the athletics track too. That’s why I choose M line. A good night’s sleep helps me get the most out of my training sessions and competitions the next day.”
This partnership forms part of M line’s sports strategy, as the company has been collaborating with top athletes and sports organisations for many years. As the Official Sleep Partner of organisations including Team Visma | Lease a Bike, the KNVB and TeamNL, M line supports athletes as they prepare for training sessions and competitions. The brand uses the knowledge gained from these partnerships to develop products for anyone who wants to start their day feeling fitter, more energetic and more alert.
"Jorinde shows that great achievements are built on hundreds of small choices. That applies on the athletics track, but also beyond it. How you prepare ultimately makes all the difference. We look forward to supporting her in the run-up to the European Championships in Birmingham and in the years that follow, with the shared goal of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles,” says Pierre van Bergen, sports marketer at M line.
