Innovation: new mattress container

Remarkable: for collecting mattresses, we are going down from 5 to only 2 containers! Not because we want to collect and recycle fewer mattresses. On the contrary, we want to collect many more. And how? Thanks to a built-in press in the new container. One new container now holds no less than 6000 kg of mattresses instead of 1300 kg. The press squeezes out all the air and compresses the mattresses. The advantage? Much more sustainable and cheaper too!

 The advantages of these new containers:

• Less transport is needed to empty the containers.
• We can take in more mattresses, saving customers a trip to the recycling centre.
• Even more material from the mattresses can be reused, whether they consist of foam or pocket springs.
• New raw materials are made from the old mattresses to produce, for example, isolation material, yoga mats or cushioning mats in playgrounds
